Turkey launched its visa program in 2016. In this citizenship program, the country grants nationality through investment. Apart from the dwelling, the program also offers citizenship and a second passport, provided the applicant invests in real estate or a bank guarantee. The real estate investment requires the applicant to purchase a property worth €250,000 with a processing fee(a September 2018 reduction from the original $1 million).

The passport permits the owner to travel without a visa to 125 countries globally. Despite not giving the applicant free admission to the EU, the applicant can apply for US residency due to Turkey’s E-2 visa treaty with the US. The holder can also apply for a UK business visa by utilizing Turkey’s Ankara arrangement with the UK.
